About:-- K.I.D. is a private,
not-for-profit committee dedicated to protecting children from sexual
molestation and bureaucratic abuse/neglect/endangerment. We are not
affiliated with Kidsindanger.com, a profitable child safety business, however we
approve of their goals and plans. What are the greatest
dangers children face today? Murder, sexual abuse, sexual slavery, slave labor,
molestation by family members, teachers, coaches, and others who work with
children, even inside state-run foster-child programs. Have you ever

What has
K.I.D.
accomplished?
- Publicly criticized Gov. Grey Davis in the L.A. Times
for failing to pass the Amber Alert Law, which could have saved the lives of
two little girls if it had not been shelved.
- Publicly criticized the Utah State Legislature for failing to pass Jessica’s Law, which mandates a minimum
sentence for children predators.
- Publicly opposed abortion verbally and in writing to the
media and elected officials with the argument that society, using the abortion
platform, views children as a negative side-effect of sex rather than
intelligent life forms. No candidate who supports abortion can
claim to protect children. We oppose abortion except in cases of rape,
incest, if the mother's life is in danger, or the fetus has catastrophic
damage such as missing heart or brain. We oppose partial-birth abortion
because there is never a medical need for it.
- Instrumental in the recall of Gov. Grey Davis due to his
procrastination in passing the Amber Law that allows posting of child
abductions on freeway marquees. We contacted various politicians and
influential people to inform them of our position and ask for their support
(no money was given to KID at any time).
- Fought Australia’a decision to withdraw its Olympic
Invitation to a Southern California Marching Band after the students had
worked for several years for the money for the trip. Our letters stating that
this was emotional child abuse were published in Australian newspapers.
Subsequently the public outcry forced the Olympic Committee to rescind their
decision.
- Wrote letters to City Councils and local representatives
in Orange, Alameda, and Riverside Counties, to State and U.S. Senators and
Representatives, the Governor,
and the President in favor of stricter sentencing and tougher laws for child
sex predators.
- Gave information to the FBI about sex predators in the
U.S. and in other countries and turned in hundreds of porn websites to
the FBI Innocent Images Task Force (IITF) and the Justice Department.
- Opposed the same-sex marriage amendment in California
with the argument that it causes gender confusion in children and downgrades the role of
mothers and that of feminine, sensitive women.
- Participated in lobby against teaching same-sex
attraction as part of California sex education because it would increase
bisexuality and bisexual marriages, which threaten children due to higher
divorce rate and emotional unavailability on the part of the bisexual partner
as a father/mother and a spouse.
- Wrote to grocery stores that carried products harmful to
children that were at child-level and could be reached by little fingers.
- Lobbied stores to stop displaying magazines with
revealing and discriminatory cover photos in places where children are
subjected to them, because it teaches children that women are objects.
- Lobbied various school districts and the State Supt. of
schools to allow kids to wear hats to school to prevent skin cancer.
- Lobbied the City and School Board for crosswalks near
schools and crossing guards in the city of Corona. It now has more crossing
guards than any city in Riverside County.
- Lobbied the OUSD School Board for critical repairs at
Anaheim Hills Elementary School that would have endangered children if
neglected, such as a collapsed roof in the library, an overcrowded parking
lot, flooding septic tanks, and doors with splinters in them.
- Lobbied in favor of a road extension in Pleasanton, CA,
in the face of the Sierra Club’s opposition. The road would allow families
safer access to an Elementary School.
- Lobbied various school districts and the State Supt. of
schools for more money for books so each classroom has a set, allowing
students to leave their books at home and making their backpacks lighter to
prevent back injury.
- Lobbied various school districts and the State Supt. of
schools to keep students indoors when temperatures reach three digits,
especially sports teams and marching bands, in order to prevent heat stroke.
- Sent medical reports and studies to area schools and
school districts about the dangers of skin cancer, heat stroke, smoke
inhalation from wildfires, and heavy backpacks.
- Lobbied Temecula city and school officials for changes
on roads around schools to make them safer for children and their parents,
including Chaparral, Temecula Valley, Great Oak High Schools and various
elementary schools. This included a legislative that allowed the city to have
control of Hiway 79 instead of Caltrans to improve safety of ingress and
egress to Chaparral High.
- Lobbied Temecula public works officials for road safety
improvements in Temecula, where four students were killed in one day when an
illegal alien chased by Border Patrol ran a red light and hit them..
- Lobbied City Officials for a hospital in Temecula.
- Lobbied Inland Valley Hospital for better service in
their maternity ward when they started turning women in labor away instead of
calling in off-duty doctors.
- Wrote letters to the media to demand that they stop
persecuting famous children such as Princes William and Harry, Pres. Bush’
daughters, and Elizabeth Smart when they were exploited and criticized by the
Press.
- And more....

Potter on crusade to keep kids safe
July 20, 2006
Byline: DIANE REED
Anaheim Hills News (Orange County Register, CA, USA)
Adrienne Potter is doing her best
to make the world a safer place for children.
The Anaheim Hills mother of two turns in pornographers and pedophiles to
police, the FBI, Scotland Yard and Interpol. And her award-winning Web site
kidsread.net details how others can do the same.
Kidsread is a safe site filled with stories and learning activities. It also
offers a space where parents learn how to protect their children.
The death of a neighborhood boy – hit by a car 15 years ago – and the
molestation of two relatives spurred the stay-at-home mom into action. She
founded the Web site a decade ago with financial help from her husband, John.
"I first put up the safety information for parents," she said. "Later, I
added the children's stories, to draw parents to the site."
She's had more than 76,800 hits on her site – and she was responsible for
turning in both a teacher and a coach to Riverside County police for crimes
against children.
"My Web site always turns in porn sites," she said. "We get e-mail from
pornographers who use a spider program to collect web addresses that contain the
words 'kids' and 'sex.'"
Because her site contains both words, pornographers and pedophiles seek her
out – and when they do, she turns them in.
Q. Isn't it difficult to get pornographers arrested, because of the First
Amendment?
A. Not really. People don't realize that adult porn sites almost always
contain some child porn. That's illegal.
Q. How bad is the material you receive from purveyors of porn?
A. This week I received an invitation to an event in Ireland, that we suspect
is a child rape. We turned it over to the Innocent Images Task Force.
Q. How do your family and friends feel about all of this?
A. My family is really supportive. I've been a child safety activist since my
first daughter was born and her car seat failed. But, most of my friends don't
even know I do this.
Q. Where do you get the stories for kidsread.net?
A.I always told rhyming stories to my kids and my husband loved them and
encouraged me to put them on the web. "Oh my Stars it's Mars," teaches kids
about the solar system. "What the World is Made Of," is kind of physics 101 in
rhyme. There's also a new alphabet poem and a counting rhyme as well of lots of
interactive stories for older children.
Q. What do you think about the growing problem of predatory teachers and
coaches?
A. I plan to add a component to my Web site warning parents about that, soon.
We already caution parents to suspect everyone, but, now we have to warn them
against teachers. It is such an abuse of authority. Kids ought to be able to
trust their teachers.
Q. Are you aware that school districts hide multi-million-dollar judgments
against their predatory teachers, by using a Joint Powers Authority to keep them
secret?
A. No, but that shouldn't be allowed. The taxpayers are paying for those
judgments.
Q. What keeps you going?
A. It's very rewarding work.
